Burners
If people allow it to happen, it's their own fault. Fight it, get your bums out on the streets. Vote of no confidence in the council concerned.

Just seeing the comments about Birmingham reminded me of a situation in the late 1970s, when I worked for the transport authority.
Lots of noise then from city shop owners led by the manager of Woolworths about the sea of buses using the famous one way loop [created by Chamberlain?] around Corporation St, Colmore Row and New St [hope I've got those right] creating pollution and so discouraging shoppers and the need for more central car parks. It festered on for a while until there was a bus drivers strike. After Day 4 of the strike, said Woolworths manager was pleading for a settlement as his takings were down 50% and he would struggle to pay his business rates... Funnily enough we never heard about bus pollution ever again. Some shoppers did go in and slag him off for not wanting their business if they came by bus. New St. did get pedestrianised years later and bus stops mainly moved further out |

It is all a scam to get their (council) hands in your wallet. Nothing to do with ‘global warming’ which is the other scam. Global warming, like global cooling, has been happening before humans were ever here.

Local authorities are only doing what the Government has mandated them to do & that's to reduce emissions YOY to reach NetZero.
The UK is legally bound by law to achieve these measures. "The UK is the first country to enter legally binding long-term carbon budgets into legislation, first introduced as part of the 2008 Climate Change Act. Since then, 5 carbon budgets have been put into law putting the UK on track to meet our ambitious goal to eliminate our contribution to climate change by 2050 and achieve net zero emissions. "
Have a read of the 2020 Environmental Act, It makes for eye opening reading.

Its a bit like the ‘ozone layer’. We were all going to die. Still not up to full power even now Funny, cause I think I am still here? Unless you know better. Answers on a pin head please. According to the brain cell, thunberg, we had 2 years before the world tipped ,and we would all die because of GW. That was 3 years ago. What happened there? Again.......it’s all for money.

I'm curious about why the relevant authorities have never prosecuted the Thunberg Twerp's parents with child abuse.

Probably because having Thurnberg as a child is punishment enough.

Bristol’s ULEZ came into force last Nov. Luckily both my Late(ish) ZT (1.8) and 25 (1.6) are compliant. My concern is they start to screw down the emission requirements as time goes on…
