Computer Joy!
After nearly 2 weeks of being without a computer I have it back.
It is surprising how much you rely on the things when you are self employed and running two businesses from it! Good job it happened at a quiet period I suppose. Plus while I am a Tapatalk fan, there is nothing like viewing the site in a webpage. |

We have two caddy based 1tb sata disks and perform twin backups every week, just this time we had done a lot of work and it crashed when we had finished. Our local computer guy couldn't fix it so it had to have the hard disk replaced so we could plug in the old disk to pull the data off it. Computers eh? Don't you just love them! I can't understand why that took 2 weeks !
Fitting a new hard drive & recovering/transferring data is pretty standard stuff. I'm surprised it took that long to be honest. Were there issues with getting your data off of the old drive perhaps ? They were trying to fix the problem without formatting the original drive and couldn't. |
