I'm only in coven and I could hear the cars from my lounge!!

Plus I went down the 449 to get some fuel and it was carnage! Nearly ran some idiot over who was strolling across the 449! Muppet.

It maybe a nice gathering and seeing all those lovely cars but i hope it doesn't get any bigger to be honest.

Are there any police presence at this event?

Hi it is a good meeting we as a group have been going for two years now weather is normally very good so makes a good local meet. I think it may be being run by someone elso now and it does appear to be gettin bigger. We always arrive early and leave late to avoid the crush as with all big meets. Its regretable but you always get a few who spoil it for the many reving up,racing off, loud music. This last meet they were charging £2 entrance not a lot of money but it did appear to put some off and cause the tail back across the lights. Folk who live close to footall stadiums airports or any major meeting must have the same problem we have the airport and NEC to cope with. In answer to your question I did not see any police on site but you can bet yer boots they wern't far away with the flashy flash things.

As they say if you can't beet em join em why not join us at the next one the more 75 & ZT owners and club members the better.

I have a feeling the Four Ashes evening meet is leaving the building, shame but there you go. What attracted what had grown to be a field packed with hundreds of vehicles and people, was not a dozen classics, but all the people who are not going to bother turning up, this was evident on the evening a pure genius decided to charge £2 to enter the field. It is not £2, it is a slap in the face to all the people who gathered there who made the meet grow into what it is, or was. I'm out.

To end on a positive note, I doubt if there will be a queue to get in the September meet.

Wonder if they will rope off the grass at the Anchor and charge £2 for parking on a coned area of the car park, guess I am out of that one too.

£2 for parking is not a vast sum and I enjoy the evening so I'm not bothered if they charge the £2 and you still get a lot of nice cars on site.. All they roped off was a section for pre 60s cars and had around 8 cars. I did not see the usual P6 group at the meet this time our group consisted of two cars a scooter and two motor bikes. The rest were parked as usual. Getting a drink at the Pub is a joke but we always take our tea/coffee making gear so that does not effect me either. I think it will be a pity if it the meet does fail as we have had some good evening as a group at the Ashes and the anchor. My concern is will this idea become an issue with the nano meets? The last evening meet for the year is normally in September.
i'm sure time will tell.

ps we can always start our own 75/zt meet if they do fail.
