Default Dual climate control - Something missing.

Hi,

I've been experiencing a weird flapping sound if my climate control speed goes past 2-3 bars. If it's in full speed it's fine for a few seconds then starts this flapping sound again, only stopping if I reduce the speed down to 2 -3 bars.

Today, I removed my stereo and can clearly see the mechanism flapping. It's doesn't appear to be connected to anything which I suspected is the reason for it flapping. Something should be connected to the metal arm. On a close up view, there's 2 tiny holes, so I know something's come off, but what and where does it go ? The metal bar is quite far away from the directional air flow adjuster...I desperately want to fix this but don't know where to start.

Does anyone have any knowledge of this or had the same issue. Pic as attached with radio removed.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. It's a 2003 diesel 75 Se conny.

Thank you

Default Found the problem

Thanks to an old post I found today, by Duotone, (Dave.T) I found the problem. I removed the dash trim and found the cable had somehow come off from the air entry flap metal pin. It's called the heater bypass control cable which is linked to the rotatable wheel directly under the clock. I think I must have been a little rough moving the wheel back and forth quite sometime ago and must have pulled it off by accident. My own fault but after such a long time, I'm a very happy man and so is my Climate control. Thanks Duotone.
