Default Drivers heated seat

Morning all, i have lost all heat from drivers side seat, what do i need to look for to fix the problem

could be the mechanical thermo switch in the element, or the element itself failed...

I would not bother t0 try to fix but take the opportunity to upgrade them they are 10x better, warmer and faster to temp with 2 levels of heat..

A similar option for improving the output could be to look at this thread.

It talks about changing the seat thermostats for uprated versions that cut out at ca. 45 degrees instead of ca. 32 degrees. The advantage over the complete replacement kits are that it's not necessary to totally strip the seat covers. I haven't done this myself but it's on my 'to do' list.

Or would you still prefer the replacement kit klarzy? Maybe there are other advantages to that choice?

I am always a little nervous of putting a control in a heater which is rated higher than the design spec...
