winter tyres
Looking for 195/65 91H winter tyres.
Anyone had problems getting this spec in a winter tyre or can recommend a brand? For Scotland in February will an all season tyre do or is an out and out winter tyre the one to go for? The Dunlop Winter Response 2 has a winter tyre label and a 3 Peak winter Snowflake symbol, I'm confused, what tyre is it? It is only a T rating so no good https://www.national.co.uk/tyres/bra...B&gclsrc=aw.ds macafee2 |

Hi.
Don't know much about snow tyres but AFAIK a "T" rating is good up to 118mph. Are you planning to do some snow racing competitions . https://www.theaa.com/driving-advice...e-speed-rating Good luck with the search. |

Don’t know about Scotland but well experienced when it comes to winter driving. If they are going to be used for just a few weeks then M & S will probably do, suppose it depends where and on how much experience of winter driving you have.
I have alpine, non-studded winter tyres but our season is much longer and conditions often more extreme. If you have the chance book a session at a skid pan, not really realistic, but might provide valuable experience of how your car handles when slippery. And it's fun Regards |

Ever thought of Finland's Nokian tyres? I currently have their Weatherproof all season tyres fitted and are very good. Have fitted winter only tyres in the past too. Suppliers tend to be not as plentiful, but most places do delivery anyway.

Michelin Cross Climate are very good, or something from the Vredestein range are also good and a bit cheaper. It's just the tyre size might be a problem.
