I've seen it about half a dozen times, which is why my wife organised for us to go there. The other one that is fascinating is the Huf House. That is just down the road from us. I am a great Grand Designs fan, there are some that I could not live in, but all are interesting. I think its really important that there are people that are brave enough to push the boundaries a bit. If not, we will continue to get the boring mock tudor and georgian houses that seem to be filling up the country.

Well said Steve.

I saw the Huf house episode as well - not my cup of tea (even if I could afford one) but it's pretty impressive, especially the way they got it built in a few days.

The other good programme was the George Clarke one (Build a New Life in the Country) about the couple who revamped that French mini chateau (then got married in the church next door). What a stunning house.

Can't find the exact episode but the website is here

Fred is settling in quite well here now.

Little Miss Rincewind has taken a shine to him straight away and has had him posing for photos and also spending time on her trampoline - so I think he's ok.

Just settling in for a Friday night beer - tell me, is he allowed a beverage in the evenings, or at BBQ's?

Photos to follow when I've got some decent ones.

Nice to see our freind has been to France, super place Steve, we allways liked the episode about the couple who transformed/built a small artists "colony" in Southern Italy I think, they did ALL the work themselves.P.
