75 1.8T and MGF
Hi,
I bought my 75 as a retirement car after a lifetime of Company cars. It was love at first site when 75s first appeared. I also took a liking to MGFs and even though I had an MGB at the time I decided to buy one. I really think it is fantastic fun, great road holding, superb looks and the K series engine really suits it. I honestly think it is better than the MX5 my wife had in the early noughties, smoother, more roomy and "stiffer" handling. So much so that the B had to go ! My query is that as the Rover and MGF are "first cousins" and have many common parts can I make use of the Traders highlighted in the Forums for spares, advice and repairs ? |

The MGF was a parts bin special but shares next to nothing with the 75, sadly. Even the K-series 1.8s are different versions (unless your MGF is a late one). Most of the parts shared by the MGF are taken from the Metro, Rover 800 and Rover 200/400 models.
There is loads of online support for the MGF/TF and specialist breakers too including MGFnTFBitz who are a big name in the field.
