My (working) sunroof drains leaked, as the sunroof seal/surround is porous, and the drain on the driver's side had come apart, leaking into the footwell. As a stop-gap, I sprayed and rubbed chain-wax into the roof seal. I thought the seal would be broken after the first time of opening the roof, but this has proved not to be the case. Car is now totally dry.

Chain wax. Mine was an Aldi special, on sale while they were doing stuff for motorcyclists. You can get it at Halfords or motorcycle shops. Sprays on like spray grease, but sets a bit harder. I actually bought it as an experimental rust prevention/seam sealant.

On Kim someone had tried cleaning the sunroof drains, and left the rubber hose behind the headlight switch pointing down, instead of through to the back of the front wheel. That is why I have had to take her soaked carpet out.
That particular pipe is the most difficult to put the pipe connector mod into, but it can be done with patience
