Is it E10 (10% Ethanol)? If so, yes, it should be fine. However, is certainly is NOT an upgrade. It makes less energy per unit than pure gasoline so you need more of it to produce the same energy as pure gasoline. That means fewer miles per gallon. You'll see the octane number for it may be 1 or 2 points higher than pure gasoline to help offset the lower energy production. As to burning cleaner to save mother earth the effect is negligible - likely immeasurable. It absorbs water, and if left for a couple of months in a carburetor, for example, will turn into pink sticky crystals necessitating carburetor cleaning/overhaul. North America is flooded with the stuff. We call it ethanol tainted gasoline.

Fuel systems pre- mid-'90's can't tolerate it. Their seal & o-ring material will start to leak.

Cheers,
Glenn

the government website advises us to use super unleaded which will be 5% ethanol. most of our cars run fairly well on this. Of course its carrying higher taxes and therefor approx 10% higher pump prices. its only a matter of time before we are reduced to electric or nothing!!!!!!
