Wireless remote
I got lucky, and bought this
http://www.wexphotographic.com/buy-n...ntrol/p1006068 Not from them. In mint condition from MPB Photographic for the sum of £39, ordered at 3:55pm yesterday and delivered today at 1:0pm, 21 hours. I am well pleased, right place at right time. Ken. |

That's a bargain Ken
It's ridiculous how expensive some of the genuine little accessories are. I'm a Canon man and they're just as bad |

Nice find. Something I always wanted.
I have a problem with my pentax DSLR when taking bird shots. I like to set the camera up on a tripod and fire it remotely. However my camera only has a feeble infra red remote and it can only fire from the front. Not great. I found ways to cheat but it has always been awkward. The camera I am hoping to get can be paired with a smart phone or tablet. The phone then has a live view on its screen. You also have control of camera settings from the phone or tablet. This sound great. Time will tell if it works as well as it sounds. |

Hi Ken,
I've seen articles on mirrors and even a cable operated device that fits on the hot-shoe with a mechanical finger to push the button. I ended up using trap focus and a rubber band to depress the shutter release. This works but gives no real time control. Of course if a cable release socket was fitted as standard it would help. I hope to use this method in the future. |
