Default Whitespot in my fishtank.. Advice

4 of the fish in my Tropical tank have whitespot. This started to show it's self about 3 day's ago. Now i got a treatment over the counter and i intend to treat the whole tank. However the instructions say i should remove all carbon from my filter's. Do i really need to do this ??..

Yes you do really as it will filter out the treatment. My carbon filters are in what I can only describe as small pillow cases, so we're easy to remove. The water will turn really blue for a few hours but it does it's job perfectly. Also a good tip is to increase the temperature by a couple of degrees for a few days too
Hope this helps
Steve

Anyone still use underbed filtration? I still use it but am finding it difficult getting spare parts now. Seems this carbon has become the norm.
