Fluid Loss.
Hi after a 20 mile journey parked up my diesel and returned to car ten minutes later noticed fluid leaking appears to be comming from the rear of engine. It was getting dark so difficult to explore further. It appears to be water although level in expansion tank appears fine. Any pointers to what it is likely to be...thanks in advance. dave

The only time I had a rear leak (Ahem) was when I filled the tank and it leaked from the screwed ring (digging a hole here) on top of the fuel tank.
Just seen rear of engine, best find out if it's water ,oil or diesel, have you been running the air-con? |

Fluid Loss.
Check your plenum chamber asap they are at the back of the engine and it maybe full of water which can damage your ecu. Clear the drainage tube just below the ecu / cabin filter.

most probably air con condense water...
if your plenums are empty and your coolant does not need topping up then panic over...

If using auto, check the fan is working OK at the front - next time you have a minute, start the car and put the heating on 'auto'. Go to the front, and check the fan is continuously spinning.

You have to be joking this was my old car and anyone who knows me it would be working then and now, also it as new brushes and a new gold resistor, so David you are safe on that score.

Hi Steve your old Tourer is proving to be a fine work horse and is used daily. We took her fully loaded to Scotland and she never missed a beat. Have changed the oil since I bought the Tourer and now need to do the other filters in the next couple of weeks. Will catch you soon just off to check them pesty plenums. Dave
