Pelosi comes across as a nasty piece work. Time will tell but I doubt that she and her ilk will be deemed by history to be a unifying factor in the history of the yanks.

The impeachment proceedings are expected to be rushed through taking only days. First president to be impeached twice, another first to be added to his record as the worst president in history. The best thing about the impeachment is if found guilty he'll be barred from running again in 2024 as he has threatened to do.

FBI has issued a warning of armed protests in all state capitals and Washington to coincide with Biden's inauguration.

Apparently the strategy is for the impeachment trial in the Senate to be held over for after the first 100 days of Biden's presidency, so he can get on with stuff. The theory being that if impeached Trump loses his ex President privileges and is barred from holding any public office in future.

Sorry, wrong info! On CNN earlier impeachment won't affect his ability to run in 2024, that's a separate matter that congress would have to vote on. Impeachment takes a two thirds majority to convict, barring from office requires a simple majority.

They really are frightened of him - which "they"? The "they" who have spent more than the term of his time in office trying to get him out by any means, fair or foul and stop any legislation. And remember he was elected without the help or endorsement of the republican party. His cardinal fault is he is not a politician. Chris.S.

He was the official Republican Party candidate in 2016 Chris, though initially they weren't keen on adopting him. During his time in office he has managed to get quite a few family members and placemen into strong positions in the party. There are also some moderate Republicans who have been 'holding their noses', during his term. It's likely that there'll be a struggle for the soul of the Republican party when this is all over. In truth, before Trump came along the Republicans were in trouble due to ageing support and little young blood coming in to replace their lost members. Trump motivated a wider range of US voters, a lot of whom often didn't vote and he won the electoral college despite Clinton beating him soundly on overall votes. This time it went the other way on the electoral college and Biden also beat him by 7m votes overall.

Trump incited violence in which both police officers and protestors died, members of congress including his own vice president and family feared for their lives. He is being vilified around the world, big corporations are withdrawing financial support for the Republican party. What is Trump's biggest concern . . . . the PGA has withdrawn a tournament from one of his courses
