BBUS unit dead?
Are the BBUS units known to completely die? One day mine was working fine and then suddenly it stopped sounding completely. The sounder is now silent when the alarm is going off, and doesn't make a sound if I attempt to lock the car with the driver's door open.
Headlamp washers still work fine, not sure they would stop working if the sounder failed? Just wanted to ask before I buy a replacement sounder incase it isn't that? Cheers Rick |

The washers work well even without the BBus, when I set mine up I had the normal siren and they worked. One of mine only sounds in half a cycle (low to high), any day I have to replace it.
It seems to me that yours needs replacement ...

After I bought the V8 discovered the BBUS was stone dead. Can't recall what drew my attention to it. Strangely enough I actually had a spare one, bought for but never fitted to the other ZT I had at the time.

Thanks all. I'll have to get mine off and take a look at it when I get a chance.

got the BBUS unit off today and opened it up and it literally looks brand new inside, perfectly clean and no corrosion or anything. But it's definitely dead sadly as I tested it on our 75 and it still didn't work.
Ordered the one in the Link you sent Alan thank you |
