Gave the car a spring clean, a just a basic wash and wax job but as it is silver comes up a gooden. Did the interior with a quick leather treatment on the seats and steering wheel. All set now for the summer and my commute to a new job on Monday.

All finished
Today I attached the drop links , refitted the Calipers, gave everything a coat of stone chip , refitted the exhaust and decided on a change of back box.
Put the wheels on, up on the ramps to tighten everything up and after a 18 mile drive I can now declare a successful mission. 6 days at a very leisurely pace with lots of coffee . Boy do I ache in places I haven't ached in for a long time Stan

Sorted the reverse sensors that had been playing up lately and getting annoying. Used a spare sensor from a Mk 2 I scrapped a couple of years ago. Noticed Mk 1 looms are superior to the later ones too.

Began refurbing the secondhand alternator thanks to Trebor & Devilish. Got the new brushes on ok, but my puller wouldnt fit the slip ring bearing so on hold till ebay deliver.
As the weathers nice off to chuck a bucket of water over them. Sent from my SM-G977B using Tapatalk |

Despite having a torn cartilage in my knee, I just couldn't bear the Sahara dust on the cars, so gave 7 a once over. Happy with the result, the knee less so!
