Churchill Insurance - Fair Play
One of my cars is insured with Churchill Insurance.
I received an email from them last week, advising me that they appreciate due to lockdowns people are doing less miles and therefore want to refund some of the policy money. I filled out a simple form and they have just paid me £32.32. A good token that gets a thumbs up from me. Now I just need to wait for all the funds rolling in from all of the other insurance policies that I have......

Makes a change for insurance companies to tell you about this.
They all do it but they don’t advertise it. I changed mine back in May last year and lowered the number of miles I do and it reduced my insurance by £4 a month. Have done the same again this year. It is well worth contacting your insurance and doing this. As Tesco’s say, Every little helps.

Most of my car insurance is with Direct Line. They're doing this too, and I've had small refunds every 3-6 months, although this has now dropped to annually I believe. Also applied on my little Citroen C15 van, although mentioned vans are not part of the scheme!
I guess these refunds won't last too much longer if we are able to get back to something like pre-Covid normality. Kevin |

Well done to Churchill, nice to see an insurance company doing the right thing.
I will be asking them to quote when mine is up for renewal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Churchill and Direct line are part of the same group: UK Insurance if I recall. They were, and may still be part of the RBS, sorry Natwest, group of companies which are still in majority UK Government ownership!
I guess government giving us money back for not using our cars really does query who ultimately owns them! Strange times |
