Thanks Kandyman,..

I was thinking similar myself.. Most of the comments are from people that have driven one. I'd hope with a comment like this that would be the case.

I'd love to be able to get a good 25 of similar age for the same money but they just don't exist.. At least not around here.
ZR's are to expensive to insure for a first time driver.

The seller is asking £1400 for it.. Is there anything that I should look out for on these models?

How about this one. Its in oxford but if your willing to travel about 100 miles it looks like a nice motor and nearly same age and mileage as the other car you was looking at

well we had them at work as loan cars , and they all fell to bits ... good engine and thats about it... its a well known fact they were built on a budget and it shows when you drive one .. if your going to the supermarket in it once a week, then ye it will do the job , anything more than that, then i would rather take the bus or get a bike... but some people on hear , wont listen because its a rover , but only in name . heaters stop working , window runners break , electrics pack up , seat frames break , clutchs dont last long , need i go on ? all of them and we had three, all failed there first mot !!!.

Must admit, if I went smaller, id definatly want a ZR as I had a 105bhp 200 before and it was a top car.

Would love one as a track day toy with a 160 turbo engine.

I believe most members will listen if it's backed up with some evidence rather than just your views of the cars.

I GIVE UP ..... i have just said in my post what things fail on them , wasnt just one car these things failed on it was three..... i work in the motortrade may i ad , and these arnt my views , they are faults seen with my own eyes... we had to get rid of them as people wouldnt take them as a loan car , and they were forever breaking down.....
