Spring looks a tad rusty there Steve and Wot no tyre guards fitted either

Newbies do now!!
1. Plenum drains..all 3 or 4 year dependent
2. Cooling fan..All speeds functioning
3. Bonnet cable divider block

Hi Jules
Just surface rust scrapped cleaned and waxoyled after car is in new ownership now, I have two sets of Tyre guards but I guess they are no good in the shed had them for about 12 months and still never got round to fitting them, but will have to asap on the MGZT

Angry Drop links

Thanks for the ideas on replacing the drop links (I read after doing the job) I wanted to cry half way through the job. Even with the best tools in the world its got to be the worst job I have ever done on a car. And yet it looks so easy Good luck to anyone willing to have a go.

50% good tools, 30% technique and 20% plain luck they are not corroded or rung off...

Another excellent one Steve
I found it easier just to grind the top joint off cutting into the nut immediately adjacent to the carrier but you need to be confident with using an angle grinder otherwise you can cut into the carrier which would be very bad
Steve's way is longer but safer

Great tip about cutting off some thread on the top bolt. It made a awkward job easy. Removing the old nut was a pain though.

Hopefully you fitted a decent brand rather than cheapest ?
Otherwise you will be changing them again in a few months
