Well Jules, they certainly weren't the cheapest so I hope they last a while. Time will tell.

100% angle grinder under the top bracket at the first sign of resistance, 10 seconds and they are history

The above quote turned out to be true for me only a week or so ago, a new owner whom bought an MGZT of a member needed his changed, what a nightmare they turned out to be changing.

Got them done in the end though and hopefully the new ones will last, used them before on my sons car a couple of nano members and seem to be wearing well so far.

What were the problems you had with this ? I changed mine last week - the bottom nuts came off no problem, but the top nuts were so hard to shift (they started to move, but then seized up again) that I ended up cutting the links off with an air saw on one side, and an angle grinder on the other. I was using a ground down 15mm spanner to hold the top nut (a flare brake pipe spanner also works well for this).

Hi Pete.
Most the same top nut seized as it works up the thread, didn't help though that the car had the tyre protectors fitted well at least on one side, also two different links fitted so nuts were different size also one 17mm other 15mm slow process but got there in the end, some I have changed in about 20 minutes.

I have just ordered a couple of sets of these below.
