Default steering query

my query is when turning left or right in my tourer the steering is straining to correct itself it wants to straighten up i know that is what steering does but even a slight turn either way the steering wheel is pulling to straighten up my bmw x3 doesn't pull to that extent like most cars if you let the steering wheel go during a turn it will correct itself but my tourer has quite a pull to get back to straight again i cant remember if my last tourer was like that is this natural or is it trying to tell me something any suggestions appreciated

MyTourer does not fight me but will straighten when "let go". Does your power assistance feel correct under normal use?

Are the front tyres at the correct pressure? Underinflation can cause the tyres to resist being turned.
