Default Dissapointment

An open air concert we had booked for 2020 was cancelled and rescheduled for June 2021, just had an email to say cancelled again and rescheduled for 2022.

Friday

Tributes to:
Coldplay
Madness
Take That
Robbie Williams
Queen

Saturday

Tributes to:
Elton John
George Michael
David Bowie
Rolling Stones
Beatles
Abba

could pick another location but line up not the same and for me, not as good.

I guess the organisers have to be mindful that the proposed lifting of all restrictions on June 21st isn't guaranteed so they're playing it safe, even though things are looking on course at the moment. I had tickets to see Penn & Teller on June 26th at the Eventim Apollo and it's been rescheduled for 2023!

We are regular theatre goers, to get good seats you sometimes have to book 12 months in advance. I am currently juggling 14 theatre/concert bookings and every one has been rearranged once, most twice and one three times, I now have to keep a spreadsheet to see where, when original date, what is revised date, if revised date clashes with anything else, if tickets are to be reissued or originals are still valid. Nightmare.

I've had an October gig for BOC put back for a 2nd year running. Rammstein just fell 2 days within the June 21st date on the 19th so that didn't surprise for another year wait.
I've bought tickets (wishful thinking ) for a smaller gig in Sept for the Oysterband - but I won't hold my breath.

At this rate I'll be either deaf or dead by the time I get to see any of the above again.

I'm amazed the old gits are still going. I saw them at the hammy odeon way back in the 80's. I think they, and I, are all fearing the reaper these days.............the wife has been instructed that it's to be paid at my funeral.
