If anyone has a model of a ZT MKII for sale, that a) isnt too much money, and b) doesn't have to be in brilliant shape, that would be suitable for a "mini-me" replica of my own ZT please let me know!
Many thanks Richard

My spare ones are spoken for, but either look on eBay, type in Vanguards MG ZT models or keep your eyes out at toy fairs. Just google toy fairs, bound to be be one close to you.

I used to do a lot of model building when I was younger, haven't done anything for a while. I have models unstarted in a cupboard.
This is one I made for my father, a model of a Police Austin Westminster like he used to drive, ex Northumbria traffic police. The reg number is an authentic Northumbria traffic car number. |

Last Sunday..............
.................... I attended a toy fair in Shepton Mallet, where I met a fellow forum member. He recognised me from the National Meet at Yeovilton earlier in the year.
Anyway I went to the fair looking for cheap s/h models for spares. What I came away with was all New models. 2 Solido 1930 Rolls Royce Coupes, 3 Vanguards Rover 75’s and a 1 Atlas Rover SD1 racing saloon. And I also bought 4x display cases that will House 1/43rd scale models. And that lot cost me £60 plus my £4 entrance fee. OK so it cost me a tank of petrol and a round trip of 220 miles, but the Bear needed a good run.

I’ve got a couple of bids in place, if I get one cheap I’ll send it on to you for whatever price I pay if any good.

Back in 2000 / 2001 Hornby introduced a new model to their '00' locomotive range: it was of an 'Austerity' class 0-6-0st locomotive named Whiston (in real life HE3694/1950) - my very own locomotive that i bought in early 1983 in derelict condition. Returned to full working order by 1986 ncluding optional extras when new of vacuum brakes and steam heating and still in working order as at 1st December 2019 - scheduled in service on Santa Specials on 21/22/23/24 December, photo charter on 29th and possible running on 1st December 2020. Statutory overhaul to commence in July / August 2020 - do much of the work myself but will still cost around £80k. And you thoughts cars were expensive?
