Default Wheels.

My car (Rover 75) came with these wheels fitted. They have MG wheel centres but are they actually OEM MG wheels, or just generic aftermarket wheels with MG centre covers?

They are 17" wheels and have 215- 50- ZR17 tyres fitted. I'm thinking of sourcing some 16" Rover wheels to replace them partly because I prefer the look of them but also I think the ride would be better with more tyre and less wheel especially as I live down a fairly long and bumpy farm track. Is this a correct assumption?

What other advantages/ disadvantages would there be to changing wheel size? And finally is there likely to be a second-hand market for these to offset the cost of buying Rover wheels (or would anyone be interested in a swap?)
