That's handy when you drive a taxi! I'm lucky, get the odd twinge but its never repeated itself to anything near the same level. I was on high dose Tramadol and all it did was dull the pain a bit. All I could manage was get to the kitchen to make a coffee and the loo to get rid of it again!

Fingers crossed its been about a year since my last episode .

Sadly it's been a regular occurrence with my back for years, there's barely a month goes by without it giving me jip. I take a lot of strong painkillers.

I have the same trouble, cant drive for more than 20 minutes without jumping out of the seat in agony. I even drive with my left foot only these days, it's an auto but try using your left foot for the accelerator it's interesting to say the least at first

I should have said its agony when you walk again after sitting .

Luckily i have never lost work with an attack .

When it was at its worst I couldn't even get in the car! I was walking around the house with a stick.
