I agree, but no, I mean ATSC which is the North American Standard for Digital TV. (Like your DVB-T) Or in Brazil it is ISDB-T , 3 Different standards.

The British PAL system was considered the ultimate for colour reproduction

The digital age was supposed to "Standardise" things but the different formats have just fragmented standards further apart

Hi everyone, (first post - Wohoo!)

I'm really interested in one of these for my new (to me) ZT.
Over the past few days I have read through (but no doubt not taken in) all 100 odd pages but still have a few questions!

First question
I'm after something that will do hands free calling over bluetooth with my iphone, I've had a couple of sony units that do this in the past in the ZS and TF but they had an inbuilt mic and were poor to say the least.
Is there a way of adding an external mic? if not how good is the inbuilt one,

Second question
Basially the same as lucason a couple of pages ago,
I have the CD413x installed, just how hard is a swap going to be? will it plug and play in this case?

- I have been pricing up Bluetooth head units at car electronics and the likes and they want half a dozen looms to control the iphone, link to stereo interface, link to the (hard wired) steering controls.

If its not suitable the I have been looking at the JVC 901 and Alpine 103BT (I dont *need* the navigation in this unit, but if its really that easy then prices are similar once you add in wiring, facias and extortionate fitting costs!)

For anyone wanting to run more than one satnav software on the unit just by pressing a button I have come across this program.
MYBOOT can be downloaded from here http://www.maplorer.com/myboot.htmland runs off the satnav SD card.It does not change anything on the unit it just runs as a program that can call up other programs to run.

Copy MyBoot and the .ini file to the root of your satnav card.Tell the unit to run MyBoot instead of the satnav software.Now when you press the navigation button a box will open with buttons to select whatever you have setup in the .ini file.You must edit the .ini file to point to the programs you want to run,this is how i have done mine.

Button1 = ".\Storagecard\TomTom\TomTom.exe"; TOMTOM
Button2 = "\Storagecard\iGO8\iGO8.exe"; iGO8
Button3 = "explorer"; Windows

Button 3 will take you into Windows so be careful not to mess about with system files or you could brick the unit!

Hello Ian
Welcome to the thread and the forum !
This unit has handsfree Bluetooth
With built in Microphone. I have had many customers who have installed the EXTERNAL mics for about $US35.00 On other models but as of now most reports from users is that the bluetooth is very adequate. The factory is not currently offering factory installed external Mics.

It will plug and play.
It has the Built in IPOD interface. It has the steering wheel controls.
You could literally install this yourself. It is easy.

What is the year and model of your car?

PS We are the seller here on the forum.

RG

It allows access to the WinCE side.You can run WinCE programs off the SD card
if you add a line to the .ini file pointing to the program you want to run.Each program will have its own button to start it up to a maximum of 5 buttons.

GagHalfrunt

Is there any possibility that you can send me or direct me in the direction to get a FLAC file for testing?

I have my entire music collection in that format and keep all the CDs up the loft as masters.
