Lol well that's a relief, RDS was 50% of the reason I swapped my original one!

The hard drive would be good, but do you think it would be ok being bumped around in the car when driving, vibrations etc.?

It would be fine, just use heavy duty Velcro on the drive and where you stow it...you could proably run a USB extension into the glove box and stow it there
which is what I will probably end up doing..

Or you could leave it down by the ashtray ?..Or in the centre console....

Don't know why I haven't do it before ! lol

I thought there was a mod where you could solder in a USB extension cable onto the motherboard of the unit so that you could use that instead of the mini usb on the front?

Yes I think Tony did that, however I wont be doing that until its out of warranty as wouldnt want to invalidate it by opening it up

Although I am om ok with the soldering aspect.

Have put a new disc together for September with some good stuff on etc....

There's about 28 CD's worth on music on it...as some of them are 2, 3 or 5 disc sets...

Default UPDATE TMC / RDS Units to all Head Unit pre-orderers

Thank you all for your patience and understanding and words of encouragement.
The one glitch that was found in testing has been corrected. (white Screen after reboot)
Tomorrow, the software provider will send the updated firmware and on Wednesday we are physically going to the factory to get the sample.
It will be sent to Tony Fry via DHL for his Quick install.

Once Tony says GO, we will hit the production line and my guess is that we will receive units next week sometime.

Cheers matey,

Been listening to it all the way from home to Scotland where I am until tomorrow.

Got a few tweaks to make as the menu was a bit small when in the single din unit but that wont take long !
PM me and we can work something out !
