Charity Adverts?
Anyone noticed a proliferation of charity ads just lately? Save a child somewhere, adopt a (insert animal of your choice), save this, that or the other Perhaps the CEO's are getting worried that funds will dry up so they'll have to take a paycut As peoples attentions are now turned to home matters, less attention to their quango's

Yes, I've seen a few and it's a 'thing' with me I'm afraid to say. I know it is controversial and I'm bound to get pasted for it. I've heard all the arguments and gasps of horror at my view but am not impressed.
I was giving a training course, as 'facilitator' (?), many years ago with 9 delegates, two of whom were new entrants direct from a very major charity and had applied for jobs with my employers following the end of their contracts. Their experience prior to working for the charity was entirely naval and both had been officers. (This, by the way, is not any kind of reflection on their previous service). They were the exact opposite of what I would think should have been basic requirements for their former executive positions and possibly the least charitable of people. Obsessed with their own importance, they gave unwitting insights into the practices that they had been used to. As a result I now donate directly to local charities whenever I can so there is not a hierarchy to maintain. When you see the accounts of some organisations it is shocking how much money for the work they undertake is swallowed by eye-popping 'expenses'. I suppose costs for film crews/directors, and advertising, transport including cars for charity directors and pensions are to be overlooked. There is one particular individual who is a classic example of the adage 'charity begins at home'. She is ennobled in a part of the UK and hopefully will lose her tenure of a prestigious position this year. Answers only by PM.
