Default Wiring Diagram Needed

Hello...
Does the Rover 75 manual give a detailed wiring diagram from the head unit to the steering wheel controls.
I want to make an interface from the ISO connectors to a jack socket at the back of an Alpine head unit and a wiring diagram would help me.

thanks

Gary

The diagrams don't give that much detail. The cables are Blue/Orange on pin 2 and Blue/Purple on pin 3 of the grey ISO plug.
The circuit is from the Blue/Purple cable, through the steering wheel switches which have different resistances that they 'switch' into the circuit, and back on the Blue/Orange cable.

I think you would need some sort of interface to convert the various resistances to something the Alpine unit would recognise, that is how the commercially available adapters work.

The Highline sat nav system uses the K-Bus for the steering controls, the Blue/Orange and Blue/Purple cables are connected to an interface that converts them.

Gary,

Here are two different wiring diagrams for the low line and the high line showing the connection to the rotary coupler with or without the K-bus interface. Hopes this will help you out.

Alpine as in aftermarket Alpine with an 3,5 mm headphone plug type remote connector? You cannot connect that one directly to the remote leads from the car as they use fundamentally different signalling. You need to get an interface box from Autoleads or Incartec in that case and with that you will also get a proper adapter loom.
