MW Reception with original stereo?

Help

Just aquired my new 75 1.8 SE Club amd the MW radio reception is terrible! All cnnections seem ok-not the unit because I upgraded it to new one. Any suggestions??

What headunit do you have exactly fitted and which connections did you check? The aerial for the 75/ZT is actually the heated rear screen elements. Reception can be affected when you are using the heated rear window because of this. It's also worth checking the connections to the HRW are all in place - remove the passenger-side C-pillar and you will see a couple of little boxes where the aerial plugs into and possibly a diversity control box (although unlikely on a Club spec car). Check alll connections are good and secure.

Try cleaning the inside of the gkass with a good glass cleaner....

I have just fitted a new Symphony unit to replace the original harmony unit. reception same with both. Perfetct on everything except MW.
will try these things this weekend
