Replaced the rear right door lock actuator, which is a lot easier than a front right door lock the door now opens from the outside, how long the replacement will work for is anyone's guess, but have another three if it does go again.

Had a chap around this afternoon who's "mechanic" had been attempting to open the bonnet.
The result was a frayed and fairly useless main cable, but at least I saved the car from having the grille smashed out by the "mechanic" So after I actually opened the bonnet, I then removed the single cable from the car, snipped off one of the nipples, and pulled the inner out of the outer cable. I then unwound the three loose strands from the entire length of the cable, unkinked the end, threaded it back through the outer cable and fitted my newly machined barrel nipple, complete with grub screw to secure the cable. Fed it back into the car, wound a few turns of insulating tape around the outer ferrule where it enters the cable splitter box, and reassembled everything. All working as it should.......result Brian |

Technically yesterday but picked the daily up from my local mechanic, full years ticket without needing anything. Advisory for grease/coating on brake pipes and a number plate bulb.
Then noticed this morning that the rear wiper has failed overnight lol !! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I rebuilt front offside strut, greased and fitted a new arb droplink. I put it all back on the car, put the brakes back on, torqued up all the nuts & bolts, fitted the wheels and took it for a drive.
Blasted up and down the A38 a couple times to a German discount supermarket to stock up on supplies. All sounds and feels good, the knocks and bangs have gone and the reduced to clear wine is good |
