Default Clutch gone again? New slave fitted 10k ago??

Well well well. The clutch pedal is staying down occasionally when reversing and sometimes having to turn the engine off to get it into first. But then it seems ok. There is no fluid from either the master or slave and I've bled it a few times. Any idea? When it went the last time the pedal just stayed down and fluid was coming out of the bell housing. But the fluid level remains the same in the master and no slave leak... Any ideas? The car is drives fine most of the time! I'll be getting it checked but suppose the box has to come out...

op up the master cylinder and bleed it - then see how it goes.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

when my slave went it was weeping a minute amount and was not really detectable, I bled mine a few times before biting the bullet and when the box was removed it was noticeable where it had been very slightly weeping.

have you had the master cylinder replace at all?

either the slaves failed or the master sadly both being mechanical parts there's no definitive test to prove whats at fault in your position i would be looking at the master

my issue really is spending a small fortune only 16 months ago= do you think it is possible the slave has gone again?

The first replacement in 2010 failed after 100 miles- this is the second, so therefore that will be 4 slaves in 16 months and only 10,000 miles. That would annoy anyone.

Surely if the master cylinder would fail there would be a loss of fluid? My issue is there is no loss.

Slave is still a possibility, as for the master usually there is traces of fluid which you have obviously checked for the only other thing could be the fluid is bypassing the seals in the master cylinder so not giving any loss.
