![]() Well well well. The clutch pedal is staying down occasionally when reversing and sometimes having to turn the engine off to get it into first. But then it seems ok. There is no fluid from either the master or slave and I've bled it a few times. Any idea? When it went the last time the pedal just stayed down and fluid was coming out of the bell housing. But the fluid level remains the same in the master and no slave leak... Any ideas? The car is drives fine most of the time! I'll be getting it checked but suppose the box has to come out...

![]() when my slave went it was weeping a minute amount and was not really detectable, I bled mine a few times before biting the bullet and when the box was removed it was noticeable where it had been very slightly weeping.
have you had the master cylinder replace at all? |

![]() either the slaves failed or the master sadly both being mechanical parts there's no definitive test to prove whats at fault in your position i would be looking at the master

![]() my issue really is spending a small fortune only 16 months ago= do you think it is possible the slave has gone again?
The first replacement in 2010 failed after 100 miles- this is the second, so therefore that will be 4 slaves in 16 months and only 10,000 miles. That would annoy anyone. Surely if the master cylinder would fail there would be a loss of fluid? My issue is there is no loss. |
