Yeah, when the coolant drops, the tank seems to be empty, needs about 250ml to bring up to between min and max.

I went on a 150 mile motorway jaunt today, checked the coolant before and after (after it had cooled down), and it seemed to have lost a tiny bit, and there was a very feint smell of warm coolant under the bonnet.

Time to check all the hose connections etc, must be a small leak somewhere.

You may find it is starting to sweat through the pipes as opposed to leaking. Thus a smell but no visible leak.

A new coolant tank cap cured my mystery leak (100ml per week approx).

The screen is a relatively new addition to my car. And a great improvement over the standard 4:3 units found in our cars Highline setup. This one is from an E46 BMW I think. I do like the hidden tape feature, although I was considering disabling it for another Aux audio input. I will no doubt keep a tape or two in the car for ultimate street cred.

And my standard gear knob was cracked around the edges of the plastic, letting the rest of the interior down. When these came up I jumped on one. Much prefer it to the Walnut version, I feel my car has enough wood within (controversial preference I know)

I cant do anything to my ZT as yet, because I'm waiting for a front bumper, radiator and condenser radiator, and washer bottle to arrive.

But the wife and I did go out this morning to look at another ZT in Gillingham this morning, it was a lovely drive, just ashame about the car.

Blimey, I had a scary morning!

Cracked alloy (found when tyre removed) causing loss of pressure...

...which then led to this:

Finally fitted the replacement (scrappies) scuttle cover and wiper arms, gave the plastic a wipe over with peanut oil, it really does do a good job of faded and discoloured plastic, looks almost like new
