Filled up the gas tank again...only needed 29 litres, but that was for 254 miles, so not that impressed.
Big trip home starts on Wednesday, so we'll see how she fares over the long run up to the north of Spain. Then through France...then through England and back home. I'll be doing around 75 mph most of the way on motorways, but of course it's all uphill from Spain to the UK

Performed probably the last oil change of the ZT's life
I'm not at all attached to this car, and if it fails it's MOT in eight weeks or so, it's off to meet it's maker. They all have to die in the end, and I've another car which I far prefer to a smelly old stone crusher. Brian |

Decided I had a couple of hours to spend having a look at the ‘silver one’ this morning. Decided to have a look for the broken spring my son said it had got on the rear. It’s not on the near side. So I did a bit of rust removal on the upper arm, and wire brushed it before, just for the time being, sprayed it with WD40. Seems to be ok for the time being, but will have to fit two rear springs when I get the other side looked at.

You open the attachment, then right click on it and head down to where it says copy image address and click on that.
You would end up with something like this if you simply pasted the copied link into the post https://the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/a...1&d=1571694634 However what you do next is the trick Click on the symbol on the tool bar, and you will be prompted to enter the URL of your image. So if we paste the URL of the image we copied before, into the box, we end up with this........... Give it a try, it's quite easy once you get the hang of things....... You might even recognise this one |

Put 4 new boots on for winter, make of tyres recommended by Trikey (cheers) as I’m not a millionaire and swapped a blown speaker for a good replacement. Now saving for a respray and a black jack for the roof.

Invested in a pair of nice Pirelli ice and snow tyres yesterday.
The tyre shop tried to sell me a set of 4 but at over $1000.cdn there was no way. I'll have to make do with the snows on the driven wheels and leave the all weather tyres on the back. With the small amount of snow we get that shouldn't be an issue.

Pulled the wife's car onto the drive, reversed it up the ramps, and took a good look at the rear suspension........solid, but looks absolutely yuk.
Dropped it down, then up forwards.........great..... a small oil leak from the steering rack, so checked the levels, and 50ml required to top up, so I gunked the gunge off and checked all rubber boots, bushes, and joints. Brake pipes look ok, however I was less than impressed with the NSR part of the sill, although solid enough, there was an unmistakable hint of ginger appearing A quick wipe over with G3 removed the staining, a probable job for next year and improved weather methinks. Anyway, I did successfully sort out the inoperative high level brake light, by virtue of taking the one from the ZT. I have the one from the wife's car on the bench, and unbelievably every single LED is kaput Something to source tomorrow, depending upon whether the 75 passes the MOT or not. Not my usual standard of preparation as I'm not in a good frame of mind at the moment, and if it fails, it's history. Brian |

Repaired my knocking and blowing exhaust, and drove her work because she hadn't moved for about two weeks.
Problem with having my a fleet is sometimes they get sidelined a little. Not sure if I mentioned, but I have a 2006 BMW 320cd and a very ropey 2003 Ford Galaxy also. Sent from my MAX 2 using Tapatalk |
