rover 75 window switches
Can anybody help please? I need to replace the window switch - driver - broken switch and looking at the adverts ebay etc they quote 2 different part numbers, YUD 100711 and YUD 000470. What is the difference, they look the same. My car is a 51 Rover 75 tourer.

You need one of these below, as one of the traders, or I can take a look in my parts box tomorrow, what is up with your switch as some times they only need a clean inside with some contact cleaner. pop your out and have a look at the code on the switch. https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-YUD000470PUY

One of the switches is broken, my ham fisted son. The part number on the bottom isn't readable.

Tom, give John at MGR Garage at Blaydon a call
Find him HERE If you pop along, he will have the right switch for you, and he won't wipe your eyeballs with the price. Let him know I sent you Brian |

If memory serves me. Wasn't one of them smooth finish and the other a textured finish?
Can't remember which was the Rover version and which was the MG version though.

I knew there were two versions, didn’t realise it was age rather than model specific

Just get a second hand one drivers side (best x 4 switches ) or passengers (x2) for replacement switches. The plastic rocker switch jaws break over time. The odd time you can repair them with araldite but for most it is not worth the hassle. Handiest thing to do is get a second hand switch panel, swap it out and keep the original panel with damaged switch for spares (still have 3 good rocker switches on it).
