Broken Key
The "doors open" part of the fob has broken off, the part which has the Rover logo. The key is intact. Can this part of the fob be replaced?

Yes. Can be bought on line.
Someone on the forum might be able to give you an address. You won't have to wait long.--- |

Exactly as Jules says above because it is very, very easy for it to drop out and get lost.--

Key Fob
Received key fob yesterday. Ordered it from Key Fob Company for under £5 including postage. Delivery prompt. It came with a detached key plate, which I didn't use. I detached the current key from the original which took a bit of pulling out of it's socket by use of pliers or vice. I just replaced the faulty part which houses the switches with the new one onto the original Valeo part, so there was no need to transfer the transponder. Fitted the key from the old one into the new. Voila! New key. And it works! And thanks for the previous inputs on this matter.
