The guest aren't going to get much sleep with you coughing all night! Rover seats are very comfortable when laid flat! Hope that you are soon on the mend. Mike

Evening. So so day here, bright and sunny but still a definitely cool breeze. Left the back door open earlier but after having to catch and release a third bumble bee in the kitchen decided to close it.

Ging wants another layer of tape around the sides of the box . . . . deep joy, especially as my wrists are giving me some grief today.

Good morning all

Yesterday was the nephews wedding which was held in the garden. A marquee had been put up for the occasion on the tennis court which was handy as it rained on and off all day, but it was not cold and apart from that everything went off okay.

During the evening a live band played music and sang songs from the 1980’s and 1990’s. Everyone had fun until midnight.

Some photos from the day……

What’s everyone up to?

Wow.......Looks like a proper good time was had by all. Glad the weather didn't spoil the day

Today I will be preparing a Roast leg of lamb with ll the trimmings.

Other than that, it'll be watching the footie on the tv .

Good morning Jeff and thank you. We are just off for a wedding breakfast in the garden which starts at 10:30 am - the full English with everything traditional. After that, we will be having a rest and taking things easy.

Do keep entertaining us with the food and cat photos, both so very special

Wednesday night we are flying to Cape Town on Ethiopian Airlines to check on the family farm on the Helderberg Mountain, we have already packed. It’s not a very nice flight as the plane departs at 05:00 with a change of aircraft in Addis Ababa. We arrive in Cape Town at 1:30pm

By the way, remember Blue Peter?

Valerie Singleton is 86 today.

Happy Birthday Valerie

Have a great day

Morning all, Looks like another nice day on the cards. Great pics Phil what a lovely setting.
I shall be removing the astro turf carpet off the decking today as it's seen better days & replacing some decking boards that are a bit rotten.

I remember Blue Peter well Phil,

It was the time of Lesley Judd, Peter Purves and John Noakes when I used to watch it

Busy prepping dinner for tonight.

The Leg of lamb will be cooked low and slow for five to six hours in the oven. The lamb will be placed on the rack above the veg and stock in the roasting tray and covered in foil. The liquid will make the gravy

Roast potatoes, roasted carrots and parsnips are already cooked and will get a second blast in the oven in the last half hour of the lamb cooking when I remove the foil.

Yorkshire Pudding batter is made and in the fridge. They will also go in the oven for the last half hour.
