The pleasure was ours as well Gus meeting Lyn and yourself yesterday. We had a good run down from north London. It certainly was fun meeting up with everyone and seeing all of the 75s looking so pristine. Whilst you were in the bar I filmed all the cars, minus the ones who had left before we arrived. We enjoyed the location setting. I feel it will be a success, adding to the list of choices available for members living in London and the region.

Good morning Derek, it was lovely to see Lilian and yourself yesterday. We seem to run out of time catching up. Clearly a popular venue with the locals for good pub grub with great hospitality. Roll on the summer!

Brilliant Meet
Sent the e-mail below to Tim Winters that I think reflects all our thoughts on this Venue.
Rover 75 Meet Peter Harrison 09:40 To: [email protected] Hi Tim, Thanks for making us "OLD CROCKS" thoroughly welcome yesterday. I have heard and seen nothing but total positive verbal and written Forum comments yesterday and today, about excellent location, venue, food and welcome. Staggered individual ordering and payment worked well, ably organised by you and your splendid Team. You may have received an e-mail from today from Derek Best thanking you for a great visit. Naturally I second his comments. I am the large, oversized, grey haired, bespectacled "OLD CROCK" that spoke to you about the two "Wiffy" drains in the Car Park. Have fun checking them today. We also discussed Scouse humour. So we want to come again in March. Either 13th or 20th, thus avoiding 6th Mothers Day and 27th Easter. Both very busy days for you and your team. Can you let me know which date, 13th or 20th, suit you and I will publicise it on the Forum. I will let you know numbers for Lunch a week before the meet and finalise total , plus or minus four, on the Saturday before. Thanks and Regards, Peter. Joint Regional Secretary London South & West (with Andy Squire) 0208 5614109 I have therefore opted for March 13th as the next meet, apologies that it clashes with the Mel Dawson weekend. I will also organise a Breakfast meet at Ruislip Lido for April. It has been confirmed the Lower Car Park will be open after Easter. We will then alternate between Heckfield and Ruislip. It was great to see Phil and Jessica prior to their return to Kenya. Glad Phil made a splendid recovery. Last edited by harrisop48; 22nd February 2016 at 17:57.. |

A belated thanks for organising the New Inn as a venue, it was great to see you guys and I had a great Sunday Roast with great company, have booked the next meeting off with my wife's carers already. Thanks for a great time, looking forward to the next one.
