Personally I wouldn't touch it. Very little history, no mention of belts being done, no mileage recorded and probably no MOT or tax

Strange things to sell on ebay, a friend of mine has a few fighters kicking around and owns the Harrier that you occasionally see in the background on Top gear.

Heres a video of us unloading a Sea Harrier down in Tangmere, I'm the one holding the stupid wooden frame thing!

If you are going to get a proper aircraft, only 2 are real contenders, forget the american F15 & f16 dog pooh, go for the BAC Lightning and the Blackburn Buccaneer, as per Thunder City in South Africa. If funds allow I would keep the Super VC10 airbourne, and a Spitfire to keep it company, both have the Vickers pedigree..........

Ah, the VC10, my favourite airliner. (probably because I used to see them every day in the Gulf, and one brought me home!)

Anyone seen the pic of one being used as a testbed for the RB211 engine, one Jumbo engine on one side, the 2 normal engines on the other?

That rings a bell. I think I´ve actually seen that. Can´t remember where that was. It was being tested on the ground in a proper testbed.

On 1st August 1973 one took me from Brize Norton to Akritri (spelling) for 6 months tour with UN. It was anovellty to actually land with an aircraft. Mostly we took off but never actually landed! Very nice plane, one of my favourites. Same sleek design style as the Hunter. Would love to have one last go out of a Herc or even better an Argosy. 32 blokes on each side of the plane going out the side doors. Fantastic fun!! Alan
