Connie on ebay with a club badge
Saw this Connie on the bay and wondered if it was anyone on here. Seems to have a club badge on the grill.
Link If it isn't, are there any members prepared to go and have a look for me (for a small remuneration, of course)? It's in Aberdare (South Wales). Cheers Jontyp

Looks nice. It's got a synergy too
What's the mileage? Try the thread for getting folk to view cars on your behalf. There are a couple of members in South Wales. http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ad.php?t=63839 |

Cheers Pab
Or it belonged to a former member, mayhap. I noticed all the trim mods. I've asked a few questions. Mileage is 145,000 . Obviously don't know about the rad fan or in-tank pump but it has had a new clutch. On the subject of in-tank pumps and rad fans, every car I've been to see so far has had both of these parts failed . I keep testing the fuel pump by listening for a hum with the ignition in position 2 and nothing. In my old car (which I'm fast realising was a really good one) I could definately hear it (and my hearing is dreadful).

Yes, it is a bit badge-tastic isn't it. I would hope they'll come off though. What I can't make out is wether it's got walnut trim bits on the mirror switches etc. If so, I would hope they'd come off aswell.

it also has a set of those horrid chineese rear light clusters on it to. Again like the stuck on badges easily removed. A nice enough car lurks under all the clart!!

There are also the chrome surrounds to the air vents and as the colour match is pretty good (see the A/C panel) then I would suggest it is one of Simon's kits from Bulgaria, further evidence of a club member. I had Walnut on my Connie (albeit Walnut Dash Company) and really liked it so personal taste. It should come off with a bit of heat from a hairdryer to soften the glue. Although I personally would leave them as I think it a really nice touch. Wait till you see them in the flesh before deciding I would suggest. I also noticed it is missing one of the chrome sill strips under the drivers door, so you would need to source one from a breaker as well. Derek

Yep he is still an active member on here, and I have seen this car in the flesh at a meet.
Jonty, I'd better PM you his username, just in case he would prefer to remain incognito, can't imagine why he would but it's common courtesy |
