check the void between the bulkheads.
the famous bit where the plenum drains are.
check there is no water there and that the pollen filter is dry.
get rid of any leaves kicking around here too.
then have a general check for water and damp leaves kicking around in that general area where the plenum covers are.

When the air-con is in use, on Auto, it has a drying effect on the incoming air, even if it isn't cooling the cabin due to the temperatures set. When the Econ button is pressed then this doesn't happen as the air-con is switched off. When you're driving in wet weather and experiencing misting it pays to keep it in Auto to dry the air.
As JohnLan says, check that the pollen filter iis dry.

Default mist

XANTIAMAN: You have your answer and you know it makes sense. We do not know which model of 75 you have so could you add that to your 'handle'.
If you have a diesel then having the air con on barely alters the MPG if that is what you are worried about.

The air is probably on recirculate as well which will tend to mist up the screen. Push the recirc button to switch off, Dave

I have had several cars that developed a small water leak in the heater matrix which made the screen mist up.
