Hi Line Sat Nav Issue.

Hi everyone, I have a navigation problem.
I can enter an address into my navigation menu but when I select destination guide I see a map with the car being located in a different part of the country, the map display show’s no satellite in green or any starts, just the planet only. The vehicle ( Connie Hi Line Saloon 2001) is fitted with the Mk III unit which appears to be fine, I have checked for water damage, connections to the rear of the unit together with the small metal antenna plug all of which are fine, however, I can’t access the service mode via the “Set” & “Menu” sequence. I’m holding the menu button in with no result. No doubt the unit is in “Survive” mode with info being obtained via the Gyro, Wheel speed & direction sensors. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I may rectify the problem?
