Angry Sunroof electrical problem

Can anyone assist please. My beloved ZT is in for a sunroof replacement- using one supplied by Rimmer bros. As I’m doing battle with washing machines I have handed it over to a local garage. The fitter has just rung to say the car loom has an oval plug whereas the motor has a square socket mounted direct to the motor body making wire jointing almost impossible. I seem to recollect this has been mentioned before.
Does anyone know if there is a connector loom or any other way round the problem. Otherwise I’m back to square one.

I have not seen an oval plug on a sunroof loom? Do you have any pics of the plug?

I might be able to get one in the next couple of days, when I finish the washing machine!

Ok, it might help unless someone else can shed any light on it

It should be a square plug on the cars loom, does the garage still have the old sunroof motor to compare against? I take it, that it is a factory fitted sunroof, not aftermarket?

Default Apologies

To everyone for delay in response, washing machine problems have taken over!
The motor is a webasto with square socket, the car loom is an oblong socket. the old motor was removed when it burnt out jamming on the sunshade. I wasn’t going to bother so disposed of it. It was only rimmer selling the complete unit that inspired me. At the time I bought it there was no warning about the electrical problems with fitting it
I’m trying all sorts of contacts but am now sufficiently annoyed to possible take this up with timers, seems not fit for purpose when they sold it!
I was hoping someone on here had resolved it with a connecting loom.

That is the motor you should have fitted, I don’t understand why the loom would be different unless someone has fitted a different motor somehow?

The motor I have came with the new sunroof as a complete assembly from Rimmers. I bought it some time ago and there was no mention of this problem. I later saw there was a rider added by rimmers about this and rang them. They told me that as it was a late car there should be no problem.
I do have photos but being ancient and not computer savvy cannot see a way to attach them to this thread.

If you lick image gallery at the top of the page then add images, browse your computer for the images you want to post (up to 3 at a time) then click host it. This will host the images on the site for you and you can then go in, copy the IMG link and paste into a post, the picture should then appear so we can see
