How easy is it to remove the speaker grill from the door card lining, I thought they were plastic rivoted on, and once off, were off for good?

Hi Reebs, they have melted the end of the plastic over. On mine I ground/sanded these off, very easy then recovered the grill using a spray evo stick style contact adhesive and then bonded the grills back on with an epoxy type glue. There are probably many other ways to refix them but have to say they look absolutely AS NEW once done. I got fed up with having a great looking interior and then seeing the horrific grubby black stains. I can and will get some more material in case more members want some.

Just bought it as BIN, Tim, so I look forward to receiving the material. Any chance of putting a few "how-to" notes in with it, please? For instance, do you remove the old material, or just cover it?

Malcolm

Will do Malcom, yes the old material comes off. If you spend some time on it it really does look great.

Wink

You could just clean the fabric on your existing speakers using some foam upholstery cleaner. I did mine and they now look as good as new.

Tried that on mine with all the different potions everyone on here has put forward and did not work that well, you could still see the stain. I think some cars will cleam okay and some not.

Thanks, Tim, and your experience echoes mine, hence me wanting to replace the material. And congrats on not replying to Capese21's post with "I've tried 1001 products and............"
