Thanks for that Edd,no sign of a mute wire in your pics unfortunately.

I have one of the latest ones, about a month old.

As far as I am aware, there is no way to do what you are wanting to do Mick.

Unless it was an after Market thing that fitted between the Head Unit and the speakers via a passthrough connection which muted the sound after it left the Head Unit.

I'm sure it's possible Mark,things usually are.

I dare say if you wanted to go to the trouble of connecting to the mute on the board it could be done that way.Probably something aftermarket available as well, as you say. It's not a major issue but would be nice if it were possible

Mine seems to turn some chanels off whilst the satnav speaks, but it sounds quite odd. The bluetooth for the phone mutes all, but the call audio.

If I'm using the satnav and it gets to a tricky bit, I find the easy thing to do, is to use the mode switch to cycle round to a silent input - like a DVD which doesn't auto start.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.
