I have both of mine on the windscreen in an L shape on the Passenger side
The USB port can be used to record, although you can use an external HDD to play both music and videos.

You can also use an external HDD on the head unit if formatted correctly.

I will be posting some videos as soon as I can do them, probably at the weekend.

Need to be in Fat32...

If you use this...EASEUS Partition Master, it's pretty easy..

If you had an Hi-line unit in, then you can re-use one or both of the existing antennas. If not, then use the provided antenna(s), in front or rear windows, so the main part of the antenna 'looks out' through clear glass.

The remote sensor works well near the rear view mirror.

The usb socket is for a hard disk, so that you can record programs/ play them back.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Does anyone know what type of antenna plug is used to connect to the hiline video unit? I want to use the existing antennas but need to convert them to fit the digi-box. Don't really want to cut them and fit suitable plugs in case I want to put them back. If I know what the small plugs are called, perhaps I can make up converter leads or something.

I did find out - it was called something like mcx (?). My original plan was to find some adaptors to adapt from those to the F-plugs on the DVB-T unit, but I was completely unable to track down an adaptor, so I cut them off and fitted a couple of F-plugs.

They were not the standard CT-100 F-plugs, but one designed for a smaller diameter cable - even so they were still too big. I ended up stripping the copper strip outer screen from some CT-100 coax and wrapping that tightly around the original coax to build up its diameter to fit the plugs. Both of the Rover built in antennas are working fine, maybe slightly better than the pair of strip antennas Sean supplied with the DVB-T box.

If you do a search on my forum name + DVB-t + F-plug it should find my posting on the subject.
