Front camber -1deg10' +-0deg 15'
Front toe total +0deg 12' +-0deg 6'

Tyre pressures Front 34 psi Rear 36 psi

Checked with a full tank of fuel, to correct for fuel level add to boot in kg.
3/4 full add 10 kg
1/2 full add 20 kg
1/4 full add 30 kg
empty add 40 kg
Note 1 litre of water weighs 1 kg the weight should be placed as far forward as possible.

Default Correct Header Tank Level

cleaning out my old header tank. found these MIN and MAX marks in the bottom of the tank, right at the base of the fins- Its no wonder mine was blowing water out, from getting the car its been filled up to the top of the fins. Im guessing many others are overfilled.

For anyone wanting to do a dip check to see if they are overfilled- the max mark is 93mm below the tank top

For protection at sustained high revs, the oil specification has been raised to ACEA -A3.

A further contribution to the performance boost comes from a new exhaust system, with 60mm diameter pipework in place of 57mm, new low-restriction metal-based starter and main catalysts and a modified rear silencer unit. This silencer has larger-bore internal pipes, twin straight tail pipes and a mechanical valve, which responds to exhaust pressure at around 4500rpm to by-pass the internal baffles.

While still meeting all legal requirements for drive-by noise, the ZT-T 190 and ZT-T+ 190 exhaust system has reduced back pressure and an attractive sporting tone. The 190Ps engine is matched with a lower-geared final drive of 4.4:1 to exploit its free-revving capabilities.

Both the 190Ps and 160Ps engines have specially designed MG throttle cams and engine ECU software to provide the right ¡®sports car¡¯ feeling of responsiveness to the accelerator pedal, with a deliberate reduction of the normal throttle on/off damping. Also common to both ZT-T engines is an enhanced cooling system, with 20% greater cooling intake area, improved-flow radiator and top hose configurations and a new plate-type oil/water oil cooler replacing the oil/air heat exchanger. The Getrag 5-speed gearbox used for ZT-T 160 and ZT-T 190 models has been given distinctively precise MG operating characteristics, with improved detent springs and a shorter gear lever.

Default 3 speed cooling fan replacement brushes

I've just repaired my cooling fan motor for £10 using new parts. There's now no need to cannibalise second-hand motors, or modify a three-speed circuit to two, or fit aftermarket systems. All you need is the determination to remove the bumper/headlamp panel, a small cold chisel and club hammer, and a soldering iron. The reward is a saving of around £300, or considerably more if you'd thought of paying a garage to do it.

I am extremely grateful to Greeners who put me on to a company in Croydon, Surrey which manufactures electric motor brushes in small quantities to the client's specification. So, whether you have a lusty 1.8T or an economical diesel or a silky-smooth V6, you can restore your engine cooling fan motor to peak performance at minimal cost. Just remove one of the worn brushes and send it to this company, and within a couple of days you will receive replacements, identical in every way. Or, if you're an expert in electric motors, you can specify all the parameters on the order form available on their website.

The grade of material is "M17" (thanks Greeners) and if you have a 3 speed KV6 fan the brush dimensions are 4.60 x 9.65 x 23mm. The company's called Engineering Carbon Products and their telephone number is 020 8688 1900, and website:

Quality, eh? My three-speed motor had failed due to the earth brush wearing down to virtually nothing, so I only really needed one brush at £10, but as so much dismantling is necessary to get at the fan motor I replaced two other half-worn brushes as well. £30 is still a lot nicer than £250 - £300 for the unnecessary replacement of the whole motor assembly.

So come on you lot; save money and resources by repairing rather than replacing. You know it makes sense!

P.S. In case you were wondering, the cold chisel and club hammer are required to release the steel tabs securing the motor end plate.
