Default OMG! what a rip off.... tablets please!!

Took car to National Tyres today as rear bearing is U/S.... they have said both rears are u/s..... so I said quote me.... £404 for both bearings ...WTF... so i rang another and i have been quoted £140.00 for both bearings they come as a kit.... not including labour...... Rang national and they agreed bearing price as £69.99 each but their system throws up £404 for both sides.. obviously labour charge thrown in, so I say I have always been told National does not charge for labour but common sense dictates all in the price.
MOT booked for 10th/ expires 12th..... (still can't find my valium)
Have rang 111 and they tell me just to take deep breaths......
Uhhhh, ahhhhh,Uhhhh, ahhhhh,Uhhhhh, ahhhhhhh.... not working !!!!!!! don't go into the light....

What's the typical mileage when rear bearings start to go?

(I know, how long's a piece of string but doesn't hurt to ask).

Name that garage, and patronise them. He could have charged you the £189 quoted. That kind of honesty deserves to be promoted.
