Not sure what to think of it TBH. Some work gone into it though.

It looks like a daihatsu copen body to me with a funny front end.
An already light kei car, with further weight reduction, no doors and over 100HP sounds like a recipe for fun. Whatever it actually is, it's a weird Frankenstein of a car and I think it needs a decent amount of work on styling (The execution appears quite amateur), but it seems fun. Certainly bizzare. Edit: I've done a bit of looking about, it appears to be a Banham superbug. They go by other names too, such as the X99, and from what I can tell it has no daihatsu parts whatsoever, which is weird considering how much it looks like a copen. Going on google images brings up some atrocities, such as a superbug modelled to look like a TT.

I agree, I think it’s a Paul Banham body kit. From memory, he started with the likes of rear engined Skoda donors to become Porsche Speedsters, and a rebodied XJS, but his most popular was the Metro/100 donor for Audi TT lookalikes, the Banham X99 and X21. (The one in post#1 isn’t actually an X99, but I can’t remember what he labelled it as)
My favourite though was the classic Mini floorpan and underpinning carrying an almost mm perfect Frogeye Sprite body, only let down, IMO, by the Mini's wheels being smaller than the Sprite's 13". IIRC, the difference between the Banham approach and more typical kit cars was that Banhams, at least until the regs changed, were body conversions, so didn’t need SVA test.
