Dismantled the chrome plinth and numberplate light holder today, fixed the pcb, spent an hour cleaning the old adhesive foam off everything, 3m double sided tape to stick it back on and reassembled. Both bulbs working perfectly and no warning on the dash, well pleased

Removed the blue left hand sill to strip the paint off so it matches the right hand. Broke just one clip, so applied the paint stripper all chuffed with myself. Three hours and three applications later, still no chrome... Don't buy cheap stripper (paint variety, although pretty sure it applies elsewhere)...

Fitted my new HID kit, spent a bit of extra time removing the bumper so I could hide the ballasts and capacitors on the subframe. I like having good lights!

I tried a couple of weeks ago to replace the pollen filter but couldn't get the ECU out of the way enough to get it out. I didn't want to pull the cables too much.
Then tried again last week to remove the whole scuttle panel but found the wipers were stuck fast.
So, today, armed with a hub puller I pulled off the wipers and removed the scuttle panel which gave much easier access to the pollen filter.
The old one was a bit mucky and hadn't been fitted properly in the slots as it was a bit deformed.
After putting in the new filter and replacing the ECU I looked in to find the cable from the bottom of the ECU was now blocking access to the plenum drain.
Had a poke about with a bit of wood to move the cable just enough to get access with my pipe bender via the spy hole.
Gave the scuttle panel a scrub and a couple of coats of Back to Black type stuff to make it look presentable.

Put it all back together and the car still starts

Now there's only about 10 more things on the to do list.........that I know of.

Removed fence, started 75 moved from its parking space and replaced with the coupe. Fence refitted. I need more space, less cars? 75 now the daily driver as it needs a service and MOT over the next few weeks

Soldered the microswitch back onto my key. Failed last night as me & Mrs Sidevalve arrived back at car in pouring rain...
Works better now than it has for weeks.

Scrubbed the wheel well and surrounding area with degreaser as it was filthy. Gave the rest of the boot area a good clean. Replaced all my gear, tools and spare in a nice clean boot.

Cleaned all the door, boot & bonnet shut lines.

Started cleaning the engine bay.

Maguires leather cleaner/restorer to my seats - looks and smells goooood
